  1. Make sure your JBL FLIP 5 is charged and turned on.

    On your Android phone, pull down the quick settings panel or go to Settings > Bluetooth (or Connections > Bluetooth, depending on the phone model). Make sure Bluetooth is switched on, then wait a moment while your phone searches for nearby devices.
  4. Find and pair with “JBL FLIP 5” on the phone.
    In the list of available Bluetooth devices, look for the name JBL FLIP 5. Tap the device name, then select Pair or Connect when the confirmation window appears. If your phone shows a pairing request, accept it. Once paired successfully, the Bluetooth LED on the speaker will usually stop blinking and turn solid, indicating a stable connection.
  5. Test the connection and start playing music.
    Open your favorite music app or video app and press play. The sound should now come from the JBL FLIP 5 instead of the phone’s built-in speaker. Adjust the volume on both the phone and the JBL FLIP 5 using the Volume + / – buttons for the best listening level. From now on, when both Bluetooth and the speaker are turned on, your phone should automatically reconnect to the JBL FLIP 5 without repeating the pairing process.
